Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Minutes from June meeting were approved unanimously.
Chief Lamey: Reports 22 traffic stops (running stop signs), 15 ordinance
violations (parking issues), 2 CITs (Critical Incident Tramas). Several
solicitors asked to leave. Chief will price “No Solicitation” signs for the
enterences to the City.
Treasurer: All bills are paid and within budget.
Arborist: Tree at the end of Woodcreek Road is dead. The City will
remove it. The large oak at Valletta and Seneca Dr. is leaning dangerously.
He has addressed this with the resident.
Engineer: (read by Mayor) All American Concrete has completed their
work and have been partially paid. Balalnce of the payment will be made
upon completion of the punch list.
MSD has been asked to remove the “Road Closed” signs on Trevillian Way
and have been notified about the clogged culvert also on Trevillian.
To respond to a residents request for speed humps for Seneca Drive, an
estimate was generated that is approximately $8,120.00. Board requested
a petition from Seneca Dr. residents before any action is considered. No
responce as of this meeting.
He is continuing to explore a plan and costs for sidewalks along Valletta
between Taylorsville Rd. and Trevillian Way.
Mayor: Since the synagogue will be closed for Yom Kippur on September
21 st , he suggests cancelling the meeting. The City Clerk will notify news
outlets and Perkey will post it on the webpage.
Smith: Proposed a resolution for the Board to consider for the next
meeting. It will require the future Board to publish all new ordinances,
amendments, annual budgets and resolutions to the city website. This will
have all information in a central site easily accessible to residents and state
audits.
Gardens Gazette will resume again in August. A Gardens
Gazette/Newsletter hybrid model will be discussed at the August meeting.
Perkey: He will publish the 2026-27 budget on Reach Alert and on the
website.
McGuire: The next meeting of the Arboretum Committes will be in August.
Sarah Inman, candidate for City Treasurer will meet with the Board next
month.
Kessinger: The July Food Truck Friday went well. The next will be August
14 th . All Gardens Gathering vendors are booked.
